Philly Local Pick of the Day 5/11/07:
"How Do We Win The War"
Smokey Mountain
Mike “Slo-Mo” Brenner is no stranger to the Philly music scene. He frequently lends his talent on the steel guitar to acts such as John Train and Marah, but it is Slo-Mo, Philadelphia’s premiere – and only – hip-hop/steel guitar band in which Brenner really shines. Enlisting the talents of local rapper Mic Wrecka for collaboration, Slo-Mo is set to release its junior album, Smokey Mountain. To celebrate, Slo-Mo and Mic Wrecka will be performing for next week's Free At Noon on May 18th (the very same day as their CD Release party at World Cafe Live)! As you most likely know, it'll be free...all you have to do is register to attend.
Check out Slo-Mo's MySpace to hear some new tunes from Smokey Mountain!
And, keep your eyes and ears out for May 25th's Free at Noon, which is sure to be a real Hoot!
